Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

I don't think my cookies (photo above) came out as nice-looking as the ones from the article I got the recipe from, but I still wanted to use my own photo. XD

Ingredients:

* 1 cup whole wheat flour
* 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
* 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 cup brown sugar
* 1/2 cup granulated sugar
* 1/2 cup butter, softened
* 1 egg
* 1 teaspoon vanilla
* 1 tablespoon milk
* 1 cup rolled oats
* 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips (Gataki: I'd add a little bit more actually)


Directions

-First, mix the brown sugar and granulated sugar together. Next, cream the sugar with the softened butter. Add in the egg, vanilla and milk and mix until smooth. -In a separate bowl, mix the whole-wheat flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. -Mix the dry mixture into the wet until blended well. Once smooth, stir in the oats and the chocolate chips. -Grease a cookie sheet and place the cookie dough onto the sheet (use a teaspoon if you like smaller cookies and a tablespoon for larger). -Bake at 350 degrees for about 12*-15 minutes (I baked mine for about 13 minutes and they are perfectly chewy).

*Maybe it's my oven, but my cookies baked a lot faster than 12 minutes. XD So make sure you check your cookies regularly, just to make sure they don't burn.
